Privacy policy
This website asks
nothing of you.
Last updated 19 October 2026. This policy covers the website at burnos.app only.
The short version
These pages are static files. There is no account to create, no form to fill in, no newsletter, no cookie banner, because there are no cookies. Nothing you do here is recorded against you, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
What is stored on your device
Nothing. The website sets no cookies and writes nothing to local storage or session storage. Your browser's own cache may keep the page files, as it would for any website, and you can clear it at any time.
What the pages request while you read them
To show the current version and link to the correct Windows installer, the page makes up to two anonymous requests to GitHub per visit:
- api.github.com for the latest published BurnOS release.
- raw.githubusercontent.com for the orb source file of that release, read only for a handful of numeric display values.
Both carry no credentials, no identifiers and no information about you beyond what any web request reveals: your IP address, your user agent and the time. GitHub receives those as the recipient of the request, and GitHub's own privacy statement governs what it does with them. If GitHub is unavailable the page simply links to the official releases page instead.
Fonts, styles, scripts and images are served from this website. There is no content delivery network, no font service, no embedded video and no third-party widget on any page.
Hosting
The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Delivering a page necessarily means Cloudflare handles the connection, so it processes your IP address, your user agent and the time of the request in order to serve the file and to protect the site from abuse. That processing is Cloudflare's, under its own terms, and we see only aggregate traffic counts from it, never a per-visitor record.
No analytics beacon or tag is embedded in these pages. There is no Google Analytics, no pixel, no session recording and no A/B testing script.
Downloading BurnOS
Download buttons point at GitHub. The file itself comes from GitHub, which counts the download and sees the request; this website is not involved in the transfer and learns nothing about it.
The demos on this website
The animated conversations, cursor demonstrations and orb states are scripted illustrations that run entirely in your browser. They do not connect to your computer, open your microphone or send anything anywhere.
The BurnOS application is separate
This policy is about the website. The application that you install on your own PC is a different matter, and it is documented in detail: speech recognition and spoken audio run locally, memory is stored locally by default, and conversation text, retrieved context, screenshots, tool results and embedding requests may be sent to the AI providers you configure. Read the application data details ↗
Children
The website is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about visitors to this website, so there is nothing of yours for us to show you, correct, export or erase. Requests about the connection data processed at the edge are a matter for Cloudflare. If you believe something on this page is inaccurate, tell us and we will fix it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. The page's history is public in the website repository, so every revision can be compared.
